Camera shots Key terms
Close up - A close up shot is usually a big focus on a face or an object, they also blur out the thing around the main subject to show that its an important feature
Long shot - a long shot usually shows a lot of the scene and also shows the main key point of the scene usually someone is in the far distance and makes us think what is happening
Two shot - a shot usually with two people talking in one scene
Middle shot - a short distance shot more than a close up but closer than a long shot, the character usually has minimal detail and is sometimes blurred out
Birds eye view - a camera shot taken from a high point which shows a group of people or a city filled with people walking or to just show the scene
High angle shot - to show who is powerful and shows weak, a high shot shows weakness in the character who is in the shot
Low angle shot - to show who is powerful and can also be seen as we the audience is part of the film
Point of view - POV is seeing what the main character sees, we can feel like we are their in the film because of the use of POV
Over the shoulder shot - a camera shot taken from one side of a character seeing over his shoulder
