The progression from start to full product
in the first 2 seconds into the preliminary task we decided to have a medium camera shot, this is because so we can show the audience the type of area we are in, and tells the audience they are in a school.

3 seconds in the video we changed the camera shot into a close up of his hand opening the door, this is effective as it shows the audience he is about to do an action, also a close up shot can also show something important is happening. 5 seconds in the video we had to make sure the camera got him opening the door from outside and then making sure it links to the door when its closing from the inside, for this bit of the recording we made him walk through the door 2 times and in our editing program cut at the same time so the door is in sync.

12 seconds into the video we added a special effect which is a fade in and out which made the short video have a smooth transition, 14 seconds into the video we had a camera shot showing the different perspectives but we had issues with the lighting which gave the video a dark look to fix this next time we would put the lights on or close the curtains. the camera shots used here is changing from Callum to Kieran where we can only see one of them when they talk.

Targets for next year

one target for next year is to keep all of the skills i have learnt from editing and using adobe premiere so I can improve and make sure the trailer is up to a great standed, I also think I will use the same genre from our film which was horror/thriller for the trailer as its the most one I feel familiar with and also know key features of what is included in a horror/thriller film.

Targets for technical areas

Mise-en-scene: When deciding the clothing types we used what everyone had at home, so for future filmings we should purchase specific clothing types to fit in the genre stereotypes of the genre, this would be really great for any future filming as it makes the audience believe more of the acting and clothing they are wearing.

Camera: One goal for camera is when recording we need to buy the correct equipment like a tripod, this is because when filming we had alot of issues keeping the camera in a fixed angle and keeping the camera steady, also i think we had alot of camera angles and shots which gave our film a professional look I think this will be very useful in making our trailer.

Sound: Sound is a very important so I would like to improve this, this is because in our film the sound effects cut out randomly and was poorly edited,so in the future I will improve my skills in choosing the correct sounds and making sure no problems occur

Edit: Edit is very important when making a horror/thriller film as it involves having alot of effects and features, like changing the focus to something in the background which can be done using computer software.

When recording we used a high quality phone which has a 4k res, which is very good for recording and gives a clearer video for our film, the phone also has a great battery capacity which is good as we can record all day and finish early, the i-phone also included many special effects and features one of the effect is included which we used in our film is the black and white filter, we used this to express the genre of our film which is horror. the phone also includes great microphone this is very important for our media film as we need high quality sound.

When editing our film we decided to do it on a Dell desktop computer, when picking the computers we decided to pick the computer with the best components  this is because when finishing editing our film we can shorten the rendering time by having a better computer, when using the computer it has a useful program called adobe premiere elements 10, which is the program we used to edit our film,

We decided to use adobe premiere elements because it was the best and only program we had on the dell Desktop, when we received all of the videos from the phone we had to label all of the video from start to finish so we could get the correct order of the film, this made it easy for us when importing all of the video files in adobe premiere elements.

When using adobe premiere elements we had alot of features to use first we started to play around with the features with our film a feature we used is fade ins and outs which was very effective for our film because it made it look less choppy and made the film look more professional.

Who would be the audience for your media product?

I think our target audience for our horror film is 15 to 19 year old, this is because young teens usually go out with their friends to the cinemas to watch brand new films

-I think the type of person who would watch my film is someone who is highly fashionable as they might be interest in Adidas and likes to watch a lot of films
-I think he would shop in popular clothing shops like Adidas,Hollister, Topshop
